Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, the foundation helps first-generation students get to and through college with the financial support, coaching, and resources they need to achieve economic mobility and build bright futures. For over 30 years, Making Waves has empowered students to overcome systemic barriers and pursue their dreams.
The Challenge
Making Waves Education Foundation had been using the Google Ad Grant for about two and a half years, but struggled to turn that ad spend into real action.
While their ads generated traffic, they weren’t seeing the downstream impact they needed—like program inquiries and student enrollments. Frustrated by the lack of measurable results, Making Waves began exploring new partners who could take their advertising to the next level, optimize their Grant spend, and drive more meaningful engagement with students and families.

Our team added additional campaigns to the account, streamlined their keywords to better focus on their target audiences and programs (and removed irrelevant topics that were confusing Google and wasting spend), and better allocated their account budget.

We boosted their monthly Ad Grant spend by 79%, increasing it from around $5,190 to $9,320 per month, putting more of their Grant dollars to work.
