The Challenge
Climate Ride approached Getting Attention after facing challenges with their previous marketing agency, which had not been able to maximize the potential of their Google Ad Grant. Despite efforts to target relevant audiences, their ads were not spending efficiently, and results were underwhelming. Climate Ride aimed to increase registration for their events and grow their email newsletter and interest list. Additionally, they sought to expand their reach by targeting key demographics, including environmentalists, philanthropists, active travelers, cyclists, hikers, runners, college graduates, and upper-income individuals. With a clearer focus on these groups, they hoped to drive more engagement and participation.

By partnering with Getting Attention, Climate Ride was able to optimize their Google Ad Grant strategy and achieve significant results. We structured campaigns to align with their goals and drive traffic to relevant landing pages. We implemented a combination of PMax, DSA, and RSA campaigns to make use of both Google’s machine learning capacity and our own strategy development. This allowed campaigns to maximize performance. Through thorough keyword research, we refined their audience targeting, ensuring their ads reached environmentalists, active travelers, cyclists, philanthropists, and other key groups. Additionally, we implemented appropriate bidding strategies and budget allocation to optimize spend. By setting up an effective conversion strategy and tracking, Climate Ride was able to track and analyze success, driving measurable results.
These efforts led to improved ad performance, increased registrations, and a broader, more engaged email list. In just 5 months, Climate Ride was able to increase their Ad Grant by more than 13 times their previous spend and garner hundreds of conversions in a single month. Through Getting Attention, they are now maximizing the Grant’s full capacity to raise more funds and reach more people for the environment.
